[UNIVERSITY]Kindle troubles in academia

[BLIND]National Federation of the blind posted this kindle related article on June 25th 2009:

and this one on November 11th 2009:

[UNIVERSITY]Virginia third graders using kindle to learn how to read (Jan 23 2010):

[UNIVERSITY]Apparently Princeton University is officially using Kindle in it's programs, there is an article related to the university giving free (as in free beer) kindles to some of it's students:

[UNIVERSITY]The Princeton University Press also has an index of E-Books available in Kindle format:

[BLIND] The American Council of the Blind also speaks out against kindle, this is their web site: http://www.acb.org/ And this is a link to the search results for 'kindle' on their site: http://www.google.com/custom?q=kindle&sa=Google+Search&cof=AH%3Acenter%3BAWFID%3A2a13e3bc460b87e5%3B&domains=www.acb.org&sitesearch=www.acb.org

[UNIVERSITY] http://news.cnet.com/8301-10784_3-9979179-7.html ( Post Date : June 27 2008)Its about *Princeton porting its textbooks to Kindle .

The blogger,Greg Sandoval, of this site says : I've learned that there's a strong bond between Princeton and Amazon. The company's founder, Jeff Bezos, is an alumnus of the university, class of 1986. I obtained the information from co-worker and former Tiger Caroline McCarthy (2006).

Greg also mentions - "Princeton follows Yale, Oxford, and UC Berkeley in creating textbooks for the Kindle " .

That would mean *Yale , *Oxford and *UC Berkeley are also porting books to Kindle .

[UNIVERSITY] http://www.crunchgear.com/2009/05/05/wsj-confirms-university-specific-kindle/ (Post Date : May 5 2009)

The Post says : One Lev Gonick from *Case Western Reserve University has confirmed that Amazon will be providing the university with larger screen Kindles next school year. Those Kindles will be distributed for those taking chemistry, computer science and some freshman seminar with content pre-installed.

So CWR uni seems to have fallen prey to Kindle . Another thing is that the post said that CWR will be comparing(about their efficiency ,blah, blah, blah) students who use Kindle and those who don't .

There is a mention of *Reed , *Pace , *University of Virginia and Arizona State indicating interest in the very device .
